IBPS PO prelim exam analysis and expected cut-off(23rd October):Many bank aspirants have appeared for their IBPS PO preliminary exam today 23rd October 2016 .IBPS PO Prelim 2016 first phase conducted on 16th October 2016 and second on 22nd October 2016..Here we are giving a quick review of IBPS PO preliminary Exam 2016 of all 4 shifts . We are giving this IBPS PO preliminary exam analysis based on the experience share by some of the candidates who have attended IBPS PO preliminary online examination on 23rd October 2016.Here you can find section wise review of IBPS Probationary officer Preliminary exam 2016.Exam patterns of shift I ,shift II ,shift III and shift IV were similar with minor variations.So,we have reviewed PO prelims based on all four shift.We have also provided IBPS PO Prelims 2016 Expected Cutoff.There are 3 Sections in IBPS PO Prelim examination namely English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.Exam pattern was similar to IBPS PO prelim exam conducted on 16th October 2016.
Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions)
- Quadratic Equation -5 questions -Easy
- Data Interpretation -10 questions-Moderate(Line graph,Table,Bar graph)-(2 in each slot)
- Simplification &Approximation -5 easy to Moderate
- Series -5 questions -Moderate
- Miscellaneous questions(Time and Work,Simple Interest and compound interest, Speed distance Time, Profit and Loss,Problem based on Ages, Ratio Proportion etc.) -10-Moderate level questions(few where difficult)
Overall difficulty of quantitative section was easy to moderate.
Reasoning(35 questions)
- Inequality -5 questions-easy
- Syllogism-5 questions-easy
- Sitting arrangement-10 marks-(Linear-5 questions,8 people facing north and south-Easy,Circular-5 questions,8 people with places-Moderate)
- Miscellaneous ( Direction Sense test,Blood Relations based questions etc. )-5 Questions-Easy
- Puzzles-10 questions, Floor based 5 marks,Comparison of height of 6 persons-5-questions-moderate to difficult)
Overall difficulty level of reasoning section was easy to moderate.
English Language(30)
- Comprehension -8 questions ,Moderate to Difficult
- Cloze Test -7 Moderate
- Para-Jumbled (sentence rearrangement)Based on air pollution and carbon emission.-5 questions-Moderate
- Spotting errors,Errors-10 questions-Moderate to Difficult
Overall difficulty level was Moderate to Difficult.English section was the toughest among three sections.

- Quantitative - 17-20 will be good attempt.
- Reasoning-20-25 will be good attempt
- English -15-20 will be good
Considering reduced number of vacancy(8000+) and increased competition an attempt of 58-67 with good accuracy will be safe attempt.This estimation is a wild guess only.

This sectional cut-off is for general category.For SC/ST and other categories sectional cut-off will be 2-3 marks less than that of general category cut-off
